Aggression in corn snakes generally happens when they feel insecure. Make sure your snake has enough ‘hides’ in his vivarium to make him feel safe and comfortable. Snakes are more likely to bite when they are out in the open or think you’re offering food. Most snakes will become comfortable and less aggressive with practice. Practice picking up your snake a few times a week with a snake hook to start, and after two weeks your snake will become more used to it.
