It would be disrespectful if you had plans or an appointment and he didn't make it. But if he was simply gone longer than originally planned, without calling, then no. It's common for people to underestimate how long errands are going to take. I would say it's at most inconsiderate, as you could be worrying about why he isn't home yet.
