My lips have become really dark in some areas from terrible dry lips. It had been four months, but my lips aren't returning to their original pink color. Is the damage permanent?

I would continue to place moisturizer cream on the lips. You may want to try a gentle exfoliant to get rid of the dead skin. If this does not work I would consult a dermatologist.
