A cyst is a little sack of normal epidermis - the top layer of the skin- that is stuck in the dermis –the deeper part of the skin. Unfortunately, the only way to truly remove a cyst is to undergo an excision. Typically, this surgery would be in a doctor’s office using local anesthesia.
