I live in Africa, and I don't get beets, strawberries or raspberries very often. Can I just do the hibiscus flower? Will it still be red?

Hibiscus flowers alone can work fine for a red dye, though it may be less pigmented than if you had used something like a beet with more natural pigment to it. If you have access to online retailers that will ship where you live, you could try purchasing beets or raspberries that way.
