Use an insecticide that has a repellent effect to create a barrier around the outside of your home. You should also trim back foliage that touches the outside of your house, like tree branches and vines, so ants can't use it to find their way inside. Also, try to keep your kitchen and dining areas as clean and free of food scraps as possible.
