The TV cable runs the length of the house. Since that time they came out with set top boxes that the cable connects to the box as well as the TV. Now I'd like to change where the TV is and place the cable behind the wall; how can I go about this?

What can be done is place your cable box in desired location, be it a closet, basement, cabinet etc where cable is split at. Then from there you can purchase an IR extender kit from the internet to route your TV remote's infrared signals to the box from the TV. All you will have to do is use existing cable in home and connect box to wiring at point A then connect TV to structural wiring at point B. Point A will most like be where your cable gets split in the home, point B a wall jack where your move your television to.
