Vines, like all plants, can be propagated. Grape vines can be propagated via cuttings and grafts, the most common, and by seed, a more difficult method. Other vines, such as English Ivy, Virginia Creeper and Boston Ivy, can typically be propagated by planting seeds or taking cuttings, where the adventitious roots at each node may take hold in soil.
