How do you know if you're talking to your spiritual guide?

Before you begin, set the intention that only you and your spirit guide will be communicating--that no other spirit entity is allowed to participate. What you feel should be loving energy. Your spirit guide will not give you anything negative or tell you to harm yourself or others in any way. They are pure love and joy, and that's what you should feel. And they are happy you want to communicate with them! The information you write, whether it's words, pictures, phases, or sentences, should be helpful in guiding you for your greatest good. Communicating with your spirit guide has a sacred feel to it.
