If you have a disposable filter, you don't need to clean it at all. Just replace it every 3 months to keep the air conditioner working properly. If you have a reusable filter, it needs to be cleaned once every 3 months. Vacuum the filter first to remove any bigger particles and then soak the filter in 30 grams of citric acid and 1 liter of water for 15 minutes. Then, rinse it off with water before putting it back.
