First check the label on your cushion to ensure the polyester fabric can withstand water. If so, you can mix up a solution of 1 cup of warm water, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of mild laundry detergent or mild dish soap. After testing your solution in a discreet section of your cushion, use a clean rag to work the solution into the stain. Rinse with a rag dipped in water and let fully dry. If the stain or smell lingers, you may need to repeat.
