I'm very confused; different websites say different things about rats. Some say to clean a rat's cage once a month, other say once a week. I don't know if I should get a rat until I know the truth. Any advice?

As with other rodent pets, you should clean a rat's cage once a week to keep the smell down and prevent bacteria and other unpleasantness from forming.
