Besides mice, what can I put out to attract owls such? Food or nesting material?

Owls also like lizards and bugs, but they are not as attractive as mice. You may even be attracting other animals with lizards and bugs. However, you can make little "nesting areas" that are more like holes. It will require a more natural look to do so than a normal birdhouse. These can be made of giant wood boxes with decent sized holes.
