I painted my piano with emperor's silk but it is too pinkish for me. I would like it a deeper red. Should I go straight to dark wax or do I still need to use clear wax first? And how many coats?

Use a clear wax first because if you just go straight ahead without doing so, you may not like the results. This is because it may smear, even though it’s dry. So put a clear wax on first on the red, then change the color.
