Innoculant contains nitrogen-fixing bacteria that attach to the soybean root, enabling the soybean to grow in low nitrogen environments. In high nitrogen environments, soybeans take up elemental nitrogen. There are multiple types of innoculant; follow the instructions on the package and make sure it contains Bradyrhizobium japonicum.
