You don't have to say it in a way that hurts her feelings, just say something like, "Can we talk about this later? I'm trying to hear what the teacher is saying." She shouldn't be offended by this. You could also try something subtle, like asking the teacher to move your seat but telling your friend that it's just because you're having trouble seeing the board.
