What breed of dog is quiet and calm?

There are quite a few calm breeds. For example: The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is gentle and affectionate and known for being good with kids. They require exercise as they are a sporting breed but also like to cuddle up with you on the couch. Poodles are great because they come in a variety of sizes: toy, miniature, and standard. This is a large breed they do best in a home with a yard. The French Bulldog is another quiet breed. They don’t bark much and if they do it tends to be a hoarse little whisper of a bark. They are spunky and pack a lot of fun into their pint-sized stature.
