Before you make a decision, spend time reflecting on the reason you want to become a police officer. For instance, if you were bullied and now you want to get revenge by carrying a gun and a badge, that's the wrong reason to get into the job. Instead, you need to have more of a guardian mindset where you want to help and protect people. Think about your skills and personality, too. To be a good police officer, you have to have very strong communication skills. You also have to be willing to run toward a problem, rather than away from it, and you need to be able to act with high moral values.
