I downloaded a demo theme and had to do a database reset to try and get rid of it. Now my entire site is plain and I can't customize it. What can I do to fix the site?

If you are talking about the WordPress, then you need to force reinstall your WordPress from Dashboard > Updates > Re-Install Now. It happens usually in WordPress due to more nulled themes or corrupt data.
