There are many new things that haven't been taught in high school yet, so it's hard because it's completely new. Keep an open mind and many notes; it also requires patience that it will take you time to learn it all and a lot of study beyond class. Write notes that make sense to you, even if this means rewriting them at home. Inclusion of self-drawn pictures and diagrams can help a great deal in biology, with labeled parts.
