Used a brick-built BBQ on a hot sunny day with no wind. We lit it using kettle and the ashes were glowing then went white, so we tipped them into grill blade but it went out quickly. What should we do?

Be sure there is oxygen to the coals when they are placed on to the grill blade, but you also want to keep the coals in a pile and not have them spread out, or they die out quickly.
