Yes, most CVs and resumes these days do include a picture. It serves many purposes. Security and identification for one, but also to get acquainted. The salute soldiers give to their superiors stems from the times of the knights. When two knights met, they would raise their (empty/unarmed) hand to open the visor on their helmet and show their true identity. Then and now, it is an act to say "This is me, I am open, I am not hiding, I am not a threat." So be proud of who you are, add a picture.
