How to join star airline membership

To join memberships of alliances of airlines, you must have a certain amount of flight hours with one or more of the airlines in the group. After you get one, you should already be able to fly VIP or Premium with any of the airlines in the group. This rule applies with Star Alliance and as well as Sky Team and One World. However, make sure to check about the group you go for because some of the groups may have no benefit in having VIP because the air group may not have any airlines with routes that cross with the ones you fly frequently.
