I was spray painting my metal daybed and many drips dried. I had to sand them down. In the future, how do i prevent that from happening?

It's usually from adding too much paint at once. Some of it doesn't stick in place, so it drips. Try moving the canister at a faster rate. Aim on applying a light but even coat of paint. Then, wipe up drips as soon as you notice them.
