Secondary colors vary with the chemical composition of the paints. Acrylic paints, watercolor paints, and oil paints have different chemical compositions. So you get different secondary colors by mixing them. For example, you get different colors by mixing cerulean blue instead of ultramarine blue with red and yellow.
