Why doesn't my laptop screen always come on? I hear the fan run but the screen will not come on. After numerous on/off switches the screen will actuate and run perfectly. But I never know if and when it will actuate. Any help would be great.

It sounds like the computer is experiencing issues with its video card. If your video card is a part of the motherboard, the motherboard may need to be replaced. If the video card is a separate component, open the laptop and make sure the cables from the video card are securely connected to the motherboard.
