My dog's tail has been badly cut, now he's not eating. What can I do?

He may not be eating because of pain or infection in the wound. There is a risk if he's in pain that he could try and bite if your touch the area. Taking care, try and bathe the cut with salt water to keep the area clean. However, it certainly sounds like the dog needs to see a vet to get some effective treatment, especially as he's off his food.
