Method 3, step 3 says to, "Attach 5⁄8 inch (1.6 cm) eyebolts to the caps with nuts and bolts." In each hole you drilled (in the caps), put in an eyebolt using nuts and bolts. It's OK to attach them any other way as long as they are secure.
