You can do the vanishing coin trick with a matchbox. Measure one end of the matchbox, then cut it with scissors. Then practise putting a coin in the matchbox and shutting it quickly. The coin will come out of the cut in the matchbox. Remember to keep the cut bit of the matchbox facing you.
