Whatever you offer the turtle be sure to cut it up into small chunks so the turtle can crush it with his beak. Vegetables that provide good nutrition include grated carrots, zucchini, or squash, plus peas and green leafy vegetables. Fruits include such tasty things as berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) grapes, and tropical fruits such as guava, pawpaw, and bananas.
