Cabbage is best bought whole because all the nutrients and freshness are intact. Once the cabbage has been cut, it begins to lose quality. However, it is still good if consumed quickly after purchase and it is often a cheaper and more convenient way to get it. It really depends on whether or not you have the space to store a whole cabbage in your fridge or if it’s easier to store smaller quantities.
