How do you cut a lemon into a flower shape?

There are several ways to do it. One is to use a peeler to cut several divots out of the peel of the lemon lengthwise, going all the way around the lemon. When you cut the lemon into slices widthwise, they will look like simple flower shapes. For a more complicated lemon flower, cut the lemon in half lengthwise, then cut it into a series of very thin widthwise slices. Lay down 4 of the largest slices in a ring with their edges overlapping, then lay down several more slices end-to-end with their edges overlapping. Roll them up into a tight roll, then nestle them in the center of the base. Spread out the “petals” to create a lemon rose.
