Sand it, prime it, paint it. Mix a 1/4 cup of water to a gallon of paint to prevent brush streaks. Use multiple light coats and use mid-grade or higher paint. If you're inexperienced plan on spending a few days or more on the project for a quality job, it is very tedious. If you can remove the doors and hinges and paint the doors while they are off, that will save a lot of time.
