What should I wear for a fitting?

A tight-fitting t-shirt and a pair of well-fitted pants with empty pockets should suffice. Definitely wear the shoes you will have with the pants for slack's length if you are buying a suit, and if you are wearing a tie, make sure it is your size. Taller men need an extra long tie, and it should come to the top of your buckle but not have a short tail; bow ties should not be so small so as to look like your head is not size-proportionate. Most pre-tied bow ties are not big enough for a tall or bigger man, so consider one you can tie yourself.
