Love languages are the different ways you can demonstrate to someone that you care. One great way to find out what your partner's love language is to ask them how they celebrated successes when they were a kid. How did their family or friends cheer them up if they were down or upset? For instance, if a person's parents weren't very affectionate or verbally expressive but they gave thoughtful gifts, then that person might still attach a lot of emotional significance to gifts.
