Boyle’s law:
At constant temperature, the volume of a fixed mass of a gas is inversely proportional to its pressure.
Mathematically,
V ∝ \(\frac{1}{P}\) .. ..(at constant temperature)
V = k × \(\frac{1}{P}\)
where, k is constant of proportionality.
PV = k = constant For two gases,
P1V1 = P2V2 = constant
