For the reaction
`CaO+2HCl to CaCl_(2)+H_(2)O`
1.23g of CaO is reacted with excess of nydrochloric acid and 1.85g of `CaCl_(2)` is formed. What is the per cent yeild.

The balanced equatoin is
`underset(56g)underset("1 mol")(CaO)+2HCl to underset(111g)underset("1 mol")(CaCl_(2))+H_(2)O`
56g of CaO produce of `CaCl_(2)`=111g
1.23g of CaI produce `CaCl_(2)=(111)/(56)xx1.23=2.43g`
Thus, Theoretical yeild=2.43g
Actual yild=1.85g
Percent yeild=`(1.85)/(2.43)xx100=76.1`
