Concept:
- Phenylephrine -> Vasoconstriction
- Opthalmoscopic examination -> Examination of the retina, the optic disk and the blood vessels.
- Done for routine checkup of the eye -> Help diagnose abnormalities in the eye tissues.
Explanation:
- Phenylephrine eye drops -> Cause vasoconstriction of the blood vessels supplying the eye.
- Pupil mydriasis is observed.
- Dilated pupils are required for eye examinations.
