  • Some content may reach an audience outside of your workplace in the form of manuals, pamphlets, and other similar purpose-oriented works. Research reviews, Resume, and Official letters come under institutional writing.
  • Reviews are made by an institution for the purpose of analyzing its growth and progress over a period of time. It is only for internal quality checks and is not shared with people outside the institution.
  • A resume contains specific details of the employees including their educational qualifications, these are not shared with people outside the institution.
  • An Official letter involves formal conversation or the language that we use outside the home. It is often written generally in the form of official reports, business letters, etc.

Hence, it is clear that Condolence message does not come under institutional writing because they are shared in the public domain and are not restricted only to the members of the institution.
