Option 3 : B and C

The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act 2009 represents the legislation envisaged under Article 21A. This means that every child has a right to full-time elementary education of satisfactory and equitable quality.

  •  Section 29(1) of the RTE Act provides that the curriculum and evaluation procedure for elementary education shall be laid down by an academic authority specified by the appropriate Government.
  • Principles are to be followed while developing evaluation procedures for students studying up to class 8 as per RTE Act 2009:-
    • Conformity with Constitutional values.
    • All-round development of the child.
    • Building up the child’s knowledge, potentiality, and talent.
    • Development of physical and mental abilities to the fullest extent.
    • Learning through activities, discovery, and exploration in a child-friendly and child-centered manner.
    • Making the child free of fear, trauma, and anxiety and helping the child to express views freely.
    • Comprehensive and continuous evaluation of the child’s understanding and knowledge and the ability to apply it.

Thus, it is concluded that B and C is the correct option.
