  • Children come to school with some ideas about mathematics.
  • Children in primary classes are able to identify shapes in their surroundings.
  • Children's ideas about mathematics before coming to school are relevant for school mathematics.
  • Every moment in their life children are experiencing many things, and as a result of that, they are learning.

Mathematics teachers should-
