Option 3 : Recreate the plan

George Polya was a mathematician in the 1940s. He devised a systematic process for solving problems that are now referred to by his name: the Polya 4-Step Problem-Solving Process.

Step Description
Understand the problem Stating the problem in our own words, knowing exactly what is being asked, and Identifying the unknowns.
Devise a plan
  • Look for a pattern.
  • Review similar problems.
  • Make a table, diagram, or chart.
  • Write an equation.
Carry out the plan Execute the strategy which was made, if it doesn't work come to another one.
Look back and reflect Evaluating the method we used to solve the problem.

Hence clearly after looking at the above table it can be observed that "Recreate the plan" is not a part of the problem-solving method given by Polya.
