Option 4 : Seed spread in plants

Plants disperse their seeds in lots of different ways. Some seeds are transported by the wind and are shaped to float, glide or spin through the air. Plants growing near a river may use the flowing water to transport their seeds. This is known as seed dispersion. This can't be demonstrated in the class because

  • Seed dispersal happens in a natural environment.
  • Seed dispersal needs various mediums like wind and water which are not available in the classroom.
  • Seed dispersal is a rapid and natural process that can't be demonstrated using plants in the pot.
  • Seed dispersal also happens through insects and butterflies, due to the absence of which the process can't be demonstrated in the class.

Adaptation in plants  Adaptations are special features that allow a plant or animal to live in a particular place or habitat.
Diversity in plants  Plant diversity refers to the existence of a wide variety of plant species in their natural environments.
Parts of a flower Sepals, petals, pistil, anther, and stigma are some of the parts of flowers.

All these above three can be demonstrated in the class using two potted plants.
