Statement: India may become the second largest smartphone selling country in the world if the sales continue to grow at the current pace, said Raghu Reddy, head of category and online sales of Xiaomi India. Smartphone sales in 2017 grew around 10% in the country in 2017. "India could overtake the US market and become the second largest smartphone market globally after China at this rate of growth’,’ Reddy said adding that currently the growth is happening in the Rs. 10,000 to 20,000 price range.
