Option 2 : 2 cm

Let ‘r’ cm be the radius of the inner cylinder removed

Height of inner cylinder = 12 cm

As we know, Volume of cylinder = πr2h

Volume of inner cylinder removed = Volume of liquid that can be stored in vessel

⇒ π × r2 × 12 = 768π

⇒ r2 = 64

⇒ r = 8 cm

Now,

Radius of original cylinder = R = 20/2 = 10 cm

∴ Thickness of vessel = R – r = 10 – 8 = 2 cm
