If you have just purchased it, keep these things in mind: Did you buy it from a fish store? If not, it could've been cared for poorly. Did you properly research how to care for it? Carp are fairly large fish, so they need a very large space. Did you cycle the tank? If not, then it is dying from ammonia and other toxins in the water. Also, common carp are typically not suggested for aquarium fish because of their large size and large waste amount.
