There's a reason why you're seeing cracking. It doesn't just come about on its own. A lot of times, unfortunately, when contractors work on projects, they don't put in the proper foundation. This is what's needed to hold the house up. I would examine your wall and see if that particular part of the home was an addition that was done at a later point. Other reasons a crack might be present would include soil erosion or water damage.
