A large box (four by four) or something of that size is recommended. The space actually needs to have what we call a puppy rail on the inside — you can purchase these boxes or you can build them out of ¾-inch plywood. I guess the biggest thing is getting materials that are not toxic and getting an area that is safe for the dog.
