Sure, as long as your municipality and neighbors don't have a problem with it. Basically, you just want to do some perennial planting first, so the animals can eat for free and you don't have to buy hundreds of pounds of supplement food for them. You'll also need to do a lot of research and searching for supplies ahead of time. You may find just making an overall better habitat zone for local small animals is all you need to do. Squirrels, rabbits and gophers are quite tasty.
