Option 1 : Only statement 1 is sufficient to answer the question.

From statement1 ∶ The time taken by A, B, C, and D, when they are filling the tank alone, is in the ratio of 1 ∶ 2 ∶ 3 ∶ 4.

Time taken by A = x

Time taken by B = 2x

Time taken by C = 3x

Time taken by D = 4x

Total time taken by all of them = x + 2x + 3x + 4x = 10x

Given ∶ Total time = 20 hours

⇒ 10x = 20 hours

⇒ x = 2

∴ Time taken by D = 4x = 8 hours

Only Statement 1 is sufficient to answer the question while statement 2 and statement 3 are not sufficient to answer the question.
